Hope this finds you fit and well!

Here is a sampling of what crossed my digital desk over the last week. Not a big newsletter as I was busy at the Mind Body Spirit all weekend. Make it up to you next week!

Taunt Something
Taunt Something

Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released in the UK on April 3, 1975 and in the US on April 27, 1975.

It is a parody of Arthurian legend, written and performed by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, and directed by Gilliam and Jones. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, and Elton John were among those who financed the film when every major studio declined to fund a film of that magnitude by first time directors.

The film was mostly shot on location in Scotland, particularly around Doune Castle and Glen Coe. The many castles seen throughout the film were mainly Doune Castle shot from different angles.

It was selected as the second best comedy of all time in the 2011 ABC special “Best in Film”, after Airplane! (1980).

The more you read and live, the more this statement resonates as true.

Did you know that Origin Energy is proposing to frack in the Northern Territory?

With the moratorium on fracking lifted, there is now a live threat of exploration fracking kicking off in just a few months, putting land, water and communities at serious risk. We need to ramp the pressure up NOW to stop this happening!

Can you join Lock the Gate, Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network (SEED), Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) and other allies at the first #FrackOffFriday action this Friday in Sydney?

With so much at risk, we are heading to Origin Energy’s Sydney office each Friday to have powerful conversations with Origin’s employees about fracking in the Northern Territory and the impacts on climate.

We will be handing out flyers to Origin Staff and engaging in meaningful conversations with staff who may be unaware or concerned about fracking and climate. Origin staff are just normal people, so as with most people we speak to when they hear about fracking in the NT, they are likely to share our concerns.

If you wish to join us this Friday the 12th we will be handing out flyers from 7.30am - 9am at the Origin Office at 100 Barangaroo Ave in Central Sydney. Can you make it? RSVP Here

Want to learn more about the #FrackOffFriday Campaign and help get it rolling?

Join us in person at the office this Thursday 11th from 3pm - for banner making and from 6 pm for a Zoom call meeting to find out more about the campaign. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

From 7pm - 8pm we will also be phone banking supporters about the campaigns. Please do join us and help make this campaign HUGE!

We look forward to seeing you this Friday or on Fridays to come.

Kind regards,

Jimmy and Nic.

Ex-banker Jane Hume is rigging Senate inquiry into bank separation—she must go

Namoi farmers cop river pumping embargo, while Whitehaven Coal mine gets an exemption

Farmers have questioned why Whitehaven Coal’s Maules Creek mine has been allowed to continue taking water from the Namoi River in NSW during the biggest pumping embargo to ever hit the catchment.

Some people are so irresponsible they cannot perceive consequences. They need to have it SHOWN to them in a VERY simple manner.

We should round up the pollies and let them eat coal and polluted water. Maybe (not promising anything) they will then see the stupidity in what they have been doing.

Until next time,
dream big dreams,
plan out how to achieve them,
be continually executing your plans,
enlist people to your causes,
travel and/or read widely, preferably both,
all the while observing what you observe
rather than thinking what you are told to think,
think well of your fellow man,
take time to help your fellow man,
he sorely needs it and it will help you too,
eat food that is good for your body,
exercise your body,
take time to destress,
and do the important things
that make a difference -
they are rarely the urgent ones!
