Read or Condemn Yourself to Death by Ignorance

Wednesday 18th November 2015

G'day,

My condolences to all those who lost a family member or friend or countryman to the carnage this past week, in whatever location they were taken. And there were many. But then again, didn't we all lose? For isn't the world poorer for their passing and most of us a little more fearful for the fact they were taken in that fashion.

Shrink not back in the face of adversity.
For in facing the fire we are forged stonger.

Hold to your compassion in the face of insanity.
For to do otherwise is to follow the path the insane travelled.

Resist not the forces of evil.
For to do so is to become evil.

Instead, advocate freedom.
For it is restriction that binds, lessens, inhibits and weakens.

Focus steadfastly on your goal.
Redouble the purpose you have that is to help.
Let obstacles not thwart you.
Let distractions not divert you.
Hold firm the edges that mark the borders of your forward progress.
Pour the coals on your purpose.

Be fearless in your living of life.
Because you are immortal and indestructible.
It is only your body that perishes, not you.

6 Photographers Capture Same Person But Results Vary Widely Because of a Twist (VIDEO)

This is well worth three minutes of your time. - "A photograph is shaped more by the person behind the camera than by what is in front of it." And so it is in life. You grace life with the life you give it. You endow your family, friends and associates and your environment by the life with which you endow it. May you endow grace, beauty, strength, skill, competence. courage, compassion, kindness, charity, honesty, integrity, ethics and energy.

The Drone Papers

The American news website, The Intercept, has published a tranche of documents revealing the inner workings of the United States' drone programme. The documents, leaked by an anonymous whistle-blower, make up a multi-part analysis of the drone programme by a Pentagon task force. They show almost 90 percent of people killed in drone strikes were not the intended target. Nine to Noon speaks to Andrew Cockburn, the Washington Editor of Harper's Magazine and author of Kill Chain: The Rise of the High-Tech Assassins.

Until next time,
dream big dreams,
plan out how to achieve them,
be continually executing your plans,
enlist people to your causes,
travel and/or read widely, preferably both,
all the while observing what you observe
rather than thinking what you are told to think,
think well of your fellow man,
take time to help your fellow man,
he sorely needs it and it will help you too,
eat food that is good for your body,
exercise your body,
take time to destress,
and do the important things
that make a difference -
they are rarely the urgent ones!
