Wednesday 19th May 2010

G'day,

Our new Schnauzer, Darcy, is settling in well and performing regular guard dog duties with gusto. He is also bolting up the stair so quickly that Julie has nicknamed him Tornado! Hope this finds you fit and well and that you enjoy this week’s selection.
Have a great week!

Fragrances are loaded with toxic and carcinogenic chemicals.

From my book: Call me old-fashioned but I prefer my woman unpolluted thanks. Synthetic fragrances can contain as many as 200 ingredients that are not required to be disclosed. Many personal care products contain synthetic fragrances which contain phthalates. For more data check out:

Kate Troup Naturopath

Last week I met Kate Troup, a lovely Naturopath who works out of the Mr Vitamins shop at Chatswood. Kate and I are creating on a low sugar food bar recipe for her to help people lose weight. We had a lot to agree on. We are both appalled by what euphemistically passes for food that is on the supermarket shelves. I had to laugh when she says she looks in people’s trolleys and she is tempted to pick things out and tell them the destructive nature of what is in them - I am the same! http://www.bondibeachdiet.com

A great video on health and aging

Only three false datums of which to beware; scientists say we can only live to 100 and both what he calls myths are not backed up by any data I have seen and his whole presentation is a complete contradiction of them! :-) Strange to say the least. Nevertheless some great data. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/01/26/buettner.long.life/?hpt=C2
